Choose your first hero

Tagon, Storm, and Valerie change the same rooms in different ways. Use this guide to pick a hero by comfort, pressure, and unlock path.

Quick path

  1. Start with Tagon for safety
  2. Try Storm when you want ranged pressure
  3. Try Valerie when timing feels comfortable
  4. Match ability choices to the hero's strength

Tagon teaches the gate

Tagon is the safest starting point because his durability gives you time to understand enemy spacing and room pacing. Use him when you want a steadier route through Mystic Forest.

He is especially helpful while you are learning when to push forward and when to circle away. If you are taking hits because rooms feel crowded, Tagon gives you more room to recover.

Build him around reliable clears first. Extra damage is useful, but early Tagon runs get much better when you add tools that keep enemies from surrounding you.

Storm turns progress into range

Storm is for players who like fast ranged pressure. After you prove yourself in Mystic Forest, Storm gives you a different answer to the same problem: clear threats before they crowd your lane.

Use Storm when you want lightning, burst, and wider control. He rewards movement because his pressure is strongest when you keep firing while enemies fail to pin you down.

Valerie asks for cleaner timing

Valerie is a later reward for players pushing beyond the first route. She is sharper and less forgiving than a starter comfort pick, but she gives focused players a more precise rhythm.

Choose Valerie when you want to win through spacing, timing, and deliberate damage windows. If you lose because you overcommit, she teaches you to slow the fight down and pick cleaner moments.
