Stats, traits, and dice

Understand permanent growth without needing a spreadsheet: Power, Vitality, Agility, Defense, Critical Hit, traits, and dice rolls.

Quick path

  1. Spend stats toward the problem you feel
  2. Use traits for long-term comfort
  3. Value survival before boss attempts
  4. Use dice when the outcome changes future rooms
  5. Avoid chasing numbers without a plan

Stat points shape your comfort

Stat points are long-term choices that change how future runs feel. Power improves damage, Vitality gives more health, Agility supports speed and dodge, Defense reduces incoming pressure, and Critical Hit improves spike damage.

Early players usually benefit from consistency before greed. If you are dying before the boss, health, defense, and movement comfort matter. If rooms take too long, damage and crit become more attractive.

Traits are the longer climb

Traits are the deeper progression layer. Some traits improve core stats, some improve rewards, and some create survival moments such as a revive or healing after rooms.

Use traits to reinforce your preferred style. A durable Tagon player may want steadier survival first, while a Storm player may care more about keeping pressure high without losing control.

Dice are for improving rolls, not replacing judgment

Dice systems can make upgrades feel better, but they should not make every decision automatic. A strong roll on a weak plan is still a weak plan.

Spend reroll-style resources when the result would support a hero, fix a real weakness, or make a build more consistent across several rooms.
